Tender Description
Contract C30/2018 consists of 2 parts.
Part A of the contract is for hire of plant. Council will hire plant with operators and plant without operators (Dry Hire). See Appendix A of the Tender Documents for the different categories and classes of plant and trucks Council intends to hire.
Part B of the Contract C30/2018 is for hire of trucks. When Council hires trucks from fleet owners they will be paid at the rates tendered. Owner Drivers will be paid according to the current Transport Workers Union Excavated Materials Cosolidated Contract Detrmination rate.
Tenders satisfying all the requirements in the Tender Documents will be acceptd and the accepted plant and trucks will be listed in Council's Plant Hire List and Truck Hire List.
Council will hire plant and trucks from the accepted Plant Hire list and Truck Hire list for Council work for the next 3 financial years.
Council prefers to hire trucks that comply with minimum Euro 3 emission standard or trucks fitted with catalytic convertors complying with RMS standards.
Tendered rates except dry hire will be adjusted for labour and fuel cost variations on 1 July 2019 and again on 1 July 2020.
