Advanced Tree Planting

⁠⁠⁠The purpose of this project is to
1. Plant advanced trees to provide shade, amenity and canopy cover to streets, parks and reserves
2. Plant advanced trees to improve and co-ordinate streetscapes
3. Plant advanced trees to replace recently removed trees

Tree planting works generally include but are not limited to the following activities:
a) Undertake delivery and temporary maintenance of trees to own depot/workplace. Trees are from three different nurseries and delivery can be staged over the contract period
b) Identify any constraints to planting locations from DBYD service provider plans
c) Undertake traffic and pedestrian control during works to minimise disruption to pedestrians and vehicles.
d) Excavate planting holes to required depth and mix removed soil with supplied Terracottem additive
e) Excavate two large tree pits at 52 Chesterfield Parade Bronte and 24 Manning Street Queens Park and plant 2 x 300 litre pot size trees
f) Supply and install root barrier to 2 x 300 litre Ficus microcarpa ‘Hillii’ to (e) above
g) Supply planting soil to 2 x 300 litre Ficus microcarpa ‘Hillii’ mixed with supplied Terracottem additive to (e) above
h) Plant ninety-eight (98) advanced trees according to attached specifications.

The 98 trees are comprised of the following pot sizes:
2 x 45 litre
6 x 75 litres
51 x 100 litres
32 x 200 litres
3 x 250 litres
4 x 300 litres
i) Quotation to include a 12 week maintenance period as a separate item at per week rate. Maintenance period may be excluded from final contract.
