The Geological Survey of Queensland (GSQ), part of the Department of Natural Resources, Mines and Energy (DNRME), plays a key role in improving the understanding of Queensland’s resource potential and attracting exploration and investment in the resources sector. GSQ collects and provides geoscience data for mineral resources, coal, and petroleum and gas energy.

GSQ are seeking to model its Borehole lifecycle encompassing both the engineering and geoscience aspects, is defined as the data submitted to GSQ spanning the end-to-end process, from identification and engineering through to collection, storage and usage of data and samples across DNRME departments.
