Tender Description
The Byron Shire Council (BSC) aims to provide adequate power to the Byron Resource Recovery Centre (BRRC) to ensure all energy systems maintain safe, reliable and secure electricity connections. BSC wishes to appoint a contractor to supply goods and/or services in accordance with the requirements outlined below.
The goods and/or services involved include the provision of electrical services upgrades at the BRRC, set out in detail below. BSC extends an invitation to suitably qualified and experienced parties to quote for the provision of electrical services upgrades.
It is Council’s intention to:
* Install and remove required utility poles and overhead cables;
* Reconfigure and upgrade the transformer from 100kVA to 200kVA;
* Establish underground services and consumer mains;
* Install a new pillar and relocate the main switchboard;
* Divert existing sub-mains / cables into new switchboard via underground pit
* Install a new three-phase sub-panel (18 pole load centre) at CRC shed;
* Outsource payment of all Essential Energy fees
* Assist the contractor with the trenching and back filling;
