Provision of Catering Services for the Toowoomba Sports Ground

The Department of Housing and Public Works (the Customer) is competitively tendering, through an open Invitation to Offer (ITO) process, the catering services at the Toowoomba Sports Ground (TSG).

TSG is an elite stadium, training facility and function centre able to host regional, national and international sporting events. The venue includes the Clive Berghofer Stadium and with it, the John ‘Cracker’ McDonald function room which is available for hire for events, conferences and other functions, and the grandstand seating and sports field which is available for hire by groups delivering sport, recreation or entertainment events or activities. The venue has Licensed Areas, fully compliant commercial kitchen and canteens.

The venue supports SRS in achieving its strategic goals to ‘ensure our sport and recreation venues provide contemporary, quality client experiences’. As each venue’s performance is measured on utilization rates it is critical that they cost-effectively provide high quality services to achieve performance measures and achieve SRS strategic goals.

A critical component of the client experience is the provision of safe, healthy and client focused catering services. This service is paramount to the ongoing attraction and return bookings of clients. Additionally, it is crucial that the provision of catering services are competitively priced to ensure the venues remain competitive and affordable to the Queensland community.
