Kimberley Ports Authority operates and maintains the Port of Broome wharf located in Broome, Western Australia. The Wharf was built in two stages, namely the original wharf constructed in the 1960’s and the wharf extension constructed in 2007.
The main utilities for the Wharf are currently located in a cable ladder network which runs from the jetty abutment along the jetty neck to an electrical compound on the jetty head. To allow for future expansion of services, easy access for maintenance, and to ensure compliance with the latest standards and industry best practice, KPA is proposing to install approximately 570m of new pipe/cable rack and three new Transformer Rectifier Unit platforms along the jetty neck.
