Construction of Ablution Blocks - Fossil Head and Old Mission Homelands

⁠⁠⁠West Daly Regional Council is calling for suitably qualified Builders to construct Ablution Blocks at Fossil Head and Old Mission Homelands prior to Financial Year end 30 June 2018.

West Daly Regional Council invites Tender from suitably qualified Building companies or individuals for the provision of Construction of Ablution Blocks at Fossil Head and Old Mission Homelands prior to Financial Year ending 30 June 2018.

The service required to be provided to West Daly regional Council includes, but is not limited to: - Construction of Male and Female Ablution block at Old Mission and Fossil Head.

West Daly Regional Council requires that Tenderers be able to demonstrate suitable experience covering at least three years in the Construction industry and preferably in a remote community environment.

It is expected that construction of the Ablution Blocks will be completed by end of June 2018.

Appointed Tenderers will be required to not act for any party in relation to a matter in which that party's interests are, or may, be adverse to the interests of West Daly Regional Council and generally not to act in any manner contrary to the interests of Council.

Tenderers may from time to time be required to provide telephone advice as a matter of urgency. This advice will need to be confirmed as soon as possible thereafter in writing.

The majority of work for undertaking Construction will be at Old Mission and Fossil Head Homelands located approx. 50kms from Wadeye (Port Keats). Site for Construction of the Ablution Blocks within the Homelands are to be agreed between Traditional Owners, Council and residents of the Homelands. The total contract price is to include all necessary transport within the Region, including materials, at the discretion of the contractor.

Council will conduct all necessary consultations with residents to seek all relevant permissions and approvals and location of the ablution blocks.
