KASC 2018 - 02 - In 2012 Kowanyama Aboriginal Shire Council invested in fully equipping a bakery for the purpose of providing a food service to community members and provide jobs to the local community. Since 2012 the Bakery has been successful in creating revenue and providing high quality product to the community. In 2017 Council adopted a new Operational and Corporate Plan that supports local business opportunities being created. In line with these plans Council is advertising expressions of interests in order to provide the benefit of business ownership directly to the local community.
