Self Cleaning Filter

Expression of Interest for the supply of a self-cleaning filter.

Scope of works:
The application is to filter water containing some copper concentrate/dust/dirt from the weighbridge sump area, where trucks carrying empty containers area loaded with copper concentrate and hosed off before exiting with the post filter treated water. The water to be filtered is collected via a sump/pit, with a weir plate, trapping the heavier larger solids with some overflow being colloidal. This dirty water is then pumped via a sump pump through a self-cleaning filter into the Container Wash Water Tank, thus the requirement to remove solids before entering the tank.

The Container Wash Water Tank then reuses this water to service the weighbridge area in terms of general hose down, and cleaning any residual concentrate cake from the sides of the trucks' containers. The Container Wash Water Tank is topped up with fresh water from the RO plant when the weighbridge sump is low on water. Note the sump pump is an intermittent operation through the self-cleaning filter.
