Profiling, Asphalt and Bitumen Spray Seal Works - Newman

The Shire of East Pilbara is committed to providing safe, efficient and effective road infrastructure services that represents "value for money" to its residents/community for a sub-regional town.

With the above mentioned the Principal's Technical and Development Services division identified and listed a significant number of ageing/damaged sealed pavement infrastructures and developed and implemented a three (3) year program for pavement profiling, asphalting and spray seal works incorporating as many as 50 streets in the township of Newman. Pavement profiling and asphalt works are being listed only for the streets where severe pavement failures were identified, with remaining streets are to receive spray seal treatment. In the FY 2015/16, works were completed in 11 streets using spray seal treatment and, subject to finance, the shire officers are aiming to complete the remaining streets, in the FYs 2017/18 and 2018/19.

Subsequently, the Principal is seeking suitably qualified and experienced Contractors to undertake the provision of "Profiling, Asphalting and Spray Seal" works in various streets of Newman. Detailed below are all relevant specifications to complete the works by a registered road/concrete contractor or company.
