Eurobodalla Shire Council invites tenders to prepare a flood study for seven coastal creeks in the Batemans Bay district. Batemans Bay is the major urban centre for Eurobodalla Shire and the demand for coastal land presents challenges in managing the existing flood risk and preparing for the projected impacts of climate change. Batemans Bay is located on the south coast of New South Wales approximately 300km south of Sydney.
The Council proposes to prepare a comprehensive flood study for the area in accordance with the NSW Government's Floodplain Development Manual: the management of flood liable land (2005).
Respondents to this request for tenders are expected to have a comprehensive understanding of the Manual inclusive of the flood risk management process and associated legislation in NSW.
