Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠1. Tender Site Inspections
The Tenderer will be required to attend a compulsory site inspection to ensure that all aspects of the proposed Works are inspected, that all limits/conditions affecting the proposed Works are identified, and that all requirements of the proposed works are clear.

The Site Inspection will be held on 27 February 2018 and 28 February 2018 and will follow the itinerary below. Please also register nominated attendees with the Tender Contact Officer by Friday 23 February 2018.

The Itinerary plan
Day 1 - Tuesday 27th February
(Meet at bridge site of Three Mile Bridge - 0900am. Rail corridor access on the southern side of the bridge site just off the Bruce Highway. Site is approximately 300m south of Koorawatha Drive, Bororen)

Day 2 - Wednesday 28th February
(Meet at Woodgate Road intersection with the rail corridor level crossing (approximately 295 Woodgate Road) - 0900am.

Bridge No 5 - Gregory River Bridge - NCL Ch318.590km
Bridge No 4 - Stockyard Creek Bridge - NCL Ch315.350km

The meeting’s time and location will be reconfirmed by the Tender Contact Officer. All vehicles travel to the worksite as a group.

This Site Inspections will be limited to a maximum of two (2) representatives from each Tenderer.

This Site Inspection will be the only opportunity for Tenderers to visit non-public areas of the work areas.

It shall be a condition that those attendees entering the proposed Work site:-
* Comply with all safety directions issued by the Principal's Authorised Representative
* Comply with Queensland Rail’s Personal Protective Equipment requirements. Hard hats (no red or green) with broad sun brims are required for head wear and tenderers are reminded that only orange coloured safety shirts or vests are permitted. Attendees who do not comply will be refused entry to the site.

This Site Inspections will also enable the Tenderer to raise any queries on the proposed Works. It is requested that all queries are to be sent through Q-Tender Portal in writing to the contact officer via the tender clarification form, or sent via email. The Principal’s response to all such queries will be confirmed in writing to the Tenderer as part of that Notice to Tender or addendum.

The pre-tender site inspections are deemed compulsory and any Tender submitted by a Tenderer who has not attended the pre-tender site inspections WILL be rejected.
