Quote for Security Services for the 2018 Civic Ball

⁠⁠⁠Quotations are to be received no later than 9am on Monday, 19 February 2018 and can be submitted at the Customer Relations Counter at Council’s Administrative Centre, or forwarded via email or post.

The following outlines Council’s requirements for you to consider when submitting a quote for Security Services for the 2018 Civic Ball to be held on Friday, 11 May 2018.

The 2018 Civic Ball will have an expected maximum attendance of 400 people.

Security Services are required to monitor the following:
* Guest entry (all guests required to have a ticket)
* Wrist banding of all persons over 18 years of age
* Monitoring of event for under age drinking
* Monitoring of event for intoxicated guests and removal if required
* Removal of unruly guests where required
* Monitor event to ensure no guests are violating the law
* Option to provide secure holding of money (approximate value $) with collection from Broken Hill City Council Administrative Centre, 240 Blende Street, Broken Hill on day of event prior to 4pm; delivery to event venue, venue to be advised but within a 10km radius of Broken Hill City Council Administrative Centre; return to Broken Hill City Council Administrative Centre Monday 14 May by 10am.

Council have a minimum one (1) security guard per 100 people in attendance

The hours for the event are 6pm to 1am, with alcohol service finishing at midnight. Security guards are required to be at the venue by 5.50pm to ensure they correctly briefed prior to the doors opening.

Council also requires a copy of your Certificate of Currency for Public Liability Insurance of not less than $20M which specifically includes the clause: “respecting the rights and interests of Broken Hill City Council.”
