Registrations of Interest are sought from companies with appropriate capabilities and experience for the redesign and replacement of the Degaussing System of the Collins Class Submarine.

The project aims to address obsolescence issues and improve the performance of the system by: modelling the existing coil system to identify any possibilities for improvement in signature performance; and development, installation and testing of all elements required to implement a modern, up-to-date closed loop degaussing system, including any required platform system interfaces, together with provision of all relevant sparing and documentation.

ASC is also interested in exploring the implementation of an active shaft grounding system capability.

This Registration of Interest (ROI) is an invitation to treat and must not be construed, interpreted, or relied upon, whether expressly or impliedly, as an offer capable of acceptance by any person, or as creating any form of contractual, quasi-contractual, restitutionary or promissory estoppel rights, or rights based upon similar legal or equitable grounds.

The Respondents' participation in any stage of the ROI process, or in relation to any matter concerning the ROI, is at the Respondents' sole risk, cost and expense. ASC will not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by any Respondents in preparation or lodgement of a response or taking part in the ROI process.
