Tender - Mental Health After Hours Outreach

⁠⁠⁠In November 2015 the Commonwealth Government announced its response to a Review of Mental Health Programmes and Services in Australia which set out a challenging and more comprehensive role for Primary Health Networks (PHNs) in commissioning primary healthcare services, particularly treatment services that address the nationally prioritised health needs for people with mental health issues.

The Darling Downs and West Moreton Primary Health Network (DDWMPHN) Health Needs Assessment identified the need to support access and referral pathways to facilitate early intervention for people who are at risk, due to mental illness but not requiring an acute care team response.   

Through the provision of services which provides supported referral, immediate problem solving, de-escalation of situational crisis for individuals who would usually present to the Ipswich Emergency Department for assistance and support.
