Tender Description
Plant Hire Services (PHS) team within Sydney Trains sources ‘wet’ hire services (plant with operator) for maintenance and renewal projects carried out by different divisions, namely Major Works and Network Maintenance. They deliver projects defined in the annual maintenance program on behalf of Sydney Trains and NSW TrainLink to create a safe, reliable passenger fleet and metropolitan rail network, to meet the expectations of customers.
Availability and reliability of plant and operators is a critical element of Major Works’ projects and has a significant impact on maintenance and renewal works. There are limited defined windows in which works can be undertaken. Without the right plant and operators, work is restricted increasing the risk of projects not being completed.
The objective of this planned procurement tenderis to engage suitable and specialised suppliers for provision of all future wet plant hire requirements of Major Works, Network Maintenance and other departments in Sydney Trains of Sydney Trains to support the delivery of projects across the Sydney Trains network.
