Drug and Alcohol Workforce Development

⁠⁠⁠The need to increase  drug and alcohol treatment related education to health and community sector workers across the Darling Downs and West Moreton PHN region was identified in our recently completed health needs assessment (HNA).

To help meet this need, DDWMPHN is seeking to promote quality improvement through the provision of opportunities for heath and community sector staff to be upskilled in the area of drug and alcohol use. The training will increase current workforce skills and capabilities and level of care available to be implemented to reduce harm associated with drug and alcohol use.  Two funding amounts are available for mainstream education and Indigenous-specific education.

The successful tenderer/s will organise and deliver the education in both rural and regional towns in the DDWMPHN region in consultation with the DDWMPHN Drug and Alcohol Program Coordinator and other internal stakeholders.
