Maintenance Grading Services

⁠⁠⁠This is a contract for grader hire for the purpose of maintenance grading unsealed roads within the Shire of Wiluna. One to two graders, 140H or similar are required. In general, the graders will work independently but on occasion, the Shire may require both graders to work in tandem.

The works will typically be comprised of:
* Routine Maintenance Grading - maintain running surface only,
* Periodic Maintenance Grading - repair surface and renew shoulders and gutters, and
* Specific Maintenance Grading - periodic maintenance scope.

The Shire will provide the Contractor with an Annual Works Schedule prepared by the Shire's Representative. This will detail the SLK's and level of service required for each particular road.

Typically, major connector roads may receive a full grade including drainage and surface works each year whilst some access roads may only be graded every 3 to 5 years,

Generally, grading shall be completed on a 'best practice' basis to suit moisture conditions.
