Notice of Expression of Interest Briefing Retail Electricity & Associated Services

⁠⁠⁠Procurement Australia, on behalf of Byron Shire Council & Lismore City Council is currently developing specifications for the Expressions of Interest (EOI) event to be released in February 2018 with intent to subsequently run the Retail Electricity and Associated services tender.

The purpose of this EOI event is to explore and understand current market appetite for the aggregated load and innovative options available in the region.

At a later date, as an outcome of this EOI, the closed tender event will be conducted with the intent to establish Energy Supply Agreements with an energy retailer or retailers to service the above mentioned Members’ requirements for the following energy categories:
* Large & Small Market Electricity
* Public Lighting

Innovative procurement options for large market electricity and small market electricity requirements where possible, that may include local electricity trading, or other non-standard energy procurement model are being considered for progression of this EOI to tender event.

To enable appropriate consultation of the industry on the requirements of the EOI, Procurement Australia is convening a Supplier Briefing, the details of which are:

This briefing is only open to direct employees of electricity retailers licenced or authorised to operate in New South Wales. A maximum of two representatives per organisation is requested please.

This briefing is not open to industry consultants and or energy brokers.
