Tender Description

In order to encourage greater value for money benefits through efficiencies of scale, the Commonwealth has undertaken to amalgamate three Navy facilities and infrastructure projects (namely N2262, N2263 and N2265) into a program approach. The program comprises three components:

Component 1: N2262 SEA1654 Phase 3 Maritime Operational Support Capability Facilities (N2262)
The capability acquisition project SEA1654 Phase 3 Maritime Operational Support Capability (MOSC) Facilities aims to acquire a single class of two Auxiliary Oiler Replenishment (AOR) vessels to replace HMA Ships Success and Sirius. N2262 aims to provide fit for purpose facilities and infrastructure to support the MOSC vessels. N2262 will address the operational, maintenance and training support required to achieve Initial Operational Capability (IOC) and Full Operational Capability (FOC) of the MOSC capability.

Component 2: N2265 SEA5000 Phase 1 Future Frigates Facilities (N2265)
Capability acquisition project SEA5000 Phase 1 Future Frigates aims to acquire nine new future frigates, optimised for anti-submarine warfare. N2265 aims to provide fit for purpose facilities and infrastructure required in support of the Future Frigate (FF) vessels that will be replacing the Anzac class frigates. N2265 will provide a wide range of facilities and infrastructure required to achieve IOC and FOC of the Future Frigate capability.

Component 3: N2263 SEA1180 Phase 1 Offshore Patrol Vessels Facilities (N2263)
Capability acquisition project SEA1180 Phase 1 Offshore Patrol Vessels (OPV) aims to acquire 12 new offshore patrol vessels that will provide greater range and Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) capability than the existing Armidale Class patrol boat fleet. N2263 aims to provide fit for purpose facilities to support the introduction into service (IIS) and sustainment of the proposed OPV capability.
