TEN-51 INNOV8 Pitch Night 2018

⁠⁠⁠Hunter New England and Central Coast Primary Health Network (HNECC PHN) is pleased to call for submissions for the chance to pitch for one-off funding at our second INNOV8 Pitch Night on April 12, 2018.

A pitch night is an event held for organisations to pitch their innovative ideas to gain exposure and funding. It can best be described as a hybrid of crowd funding and 'shark tank' pitch event. This round of funding is part of the HNECC PHN's INNOV8 Health Development Initiative.

For Pitch Night 2, HNECC PHN is seeking innovative submissions from suitable organisations with a focus on Aboriginal health outcomes. We encourage participation and submissions from Aboriginal Medical Services and Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations, as well as other culturally safe and competent services, within the HNECC PHN region.

Aboriginal health is a key priority for HNECC PHN and we are working to Close the Gap by improving health outcomes for our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members.

Our Aboriginal Health Needs Assessment identifies local health priorities for action and we are seeking innovative solutions that address one or more of the following:
* Socio-economic disadvantage and poor health
* Maternal health
* Childhood immunisation (1-2yrs)
* Chronic disease, kidney disease, cancer, diabetes
* Barrier reduction, including health literacy, service navigation and care coordination.

Proposals will only be considered if they are specific to the HNECC PHN region. Applicants will be required to indicate which sub-region the proposal is for (Hunter, New England, Central Coast), and the locations within these sub regions. Proposals may cover one or more sub-regions. Our aim is to provide one-off seed funding that will establish innovative projects that not only meet the needs of the proposed community, but could act as a catalyst for implementation in other communities.
