Pilbara Regional Waste Management Facility (PRWMF) Market Sounding

⁠⁠⁠The Shire of Ashburton (Shire) wishes to extend an invitation to participate in a market sounding process regarding the Pilbara Regional Waste Management Facility (PRWMF) in Onslow WA.

The Shire was awarded $9 Million in funding through the Federal Government's Building Better Regions Fund in July 2017 for the establishment of a regional waste management facility in Onslow to provide waste services, including a Class IV Landfill for the Pilbara region and surrounds. The Federal funding also complements $2 Million from Chevron Australia Pty Ltd via the State Development Agreement allocated to this significant project.

The Shire is currently finalising the exact requirements for the project including a procurement strategy and is conducting a consultation process with parties that may have an interest in the project.

Parties wishing to participate in this consultation process will be required to enter into a Consultation Undertaking with the Shire, prior to receiving any additional information and commencing the proposed discussions.

Upon receipt of a signed Consultation Undertaking, participating parties will be sent the Project Questionnaire which will ask key questions to assist the Shire to make informed decisions in relation the project. Following the return of the completed Project Questionnaire, the Shire may request a face-to-face meeting (in Perth) to discuss the results of the Project Questionnaire. Prior to the meeting, an Agenda and Probity Protocol will be sent to your company.
