Road Rehabilitation Program FY18

⁠⁠⁠The Derwent Valley Council has a number of road and street improvements to be completed during FY18. In order to provide improved opportunities to industry, and optimise outcomes to the Council, the works may be awarded in any combination to Tenderers.

A key part of the decision making will be the Derwent Valley Council's understanding of Contractors 'in-house' competency for the particular work, and Contractor's ability to deliver the works cost effectively and within the agreed timeframe.

The planned contract works are predominantly road rehabilitation with one project incorporating stormwater improvement:
Rex Street
Nicholson Street
Glenora Rd, New Norfolk (rural)
Rex St, stormwater improvements
Laskey Carpark Pioneer Avenue, pavement rehabilitation

Derwent Valley Council has a commitment to providing and managing a high quality network of assets, enhancing local industries and sustainably managing assets which support its service offerings to continue to improve and enhance its civil infrastructure.

This tender is called in accordance with the provisions of the Local Government Act 1993 and Derwent Valley Council's Code for Tenders and Contracts (the code) www.derwentvalley.tas.gov.au to select appropriate service providers to undertake the works.
