Tender Description
The Regional Bridges Upgrades and Lobethal Freight Route Upgrade procurement aims to improve the safety and efficiency of the regional road network, and enable the operation of higher productivity vehicles on important freight routes.
his procurement is made up of five separate packages of works, comprising bridge upgrades across the regional road network under the control of DPTI. The work also includes road upgrades associated with the Lobethal Freight Route Upgrade.
The program of works includes:
1.Lobethal Freight Route
The upgrading of portions of the Lobethal Freight Route between the east of Palmer (intersection of Randell Road and Milendella Road) and Lobethal to achieve Restricted Access Vehicle (RAV) Performance Based Standard (PBS) Level 2 between Murray Bridge and Lobethal.
This package includes 36 separate projects.
2.Sturt Highway Bridges
The upgrading of various bridges to meet PBS Level 3A on the Sturt Highway between Blanchetown and the State Border.
This package includes 11 separate projects.
3.Inverbrackie Bridge and Intersection Upgrade
Bridge replacement and intersection upgrade works to improve traffic flow and safety at the intersection between Onkaparinga Valley Road and Riverview Road.
4.Rocky River Bridge
Bridge widening works to ensure.
5.Bridge Replacement Program Sites
Bridge widening and bridge replacement works of generally end of life structures to ensure that the bridges have suitable capacity and geometric provisions to improve heavy vehicle access and safety to meet PBS Level 2A at various regional locations.
