Aerial Application Services (Pesticide & Fertiliser)

⁠⁠⁠The Forest Products Commission (the Commission) manages approximately 40,000 hectares of pinus plantations (radiata and pinaster) across the southern regions of Western Australia and has an ongoing requirement to apply pesticides and fertilisers to maximise plantation productivity.

Varying topography within the Commission’s plantation estate may limit the safe access for conventional ground based pesticide (insecticide and herbicide) and fertiliser application methods. Historically, these sites have been serviced using aerial based appliances (fixed and rotary wing) as a cost effective and operationally efficient alternative.

The Commission is seeking innovation and efficencies by inviting Expressions of Interest from qualified, experienced and suitably equipped businesses to provide an alternative method from convential aircraft for the aerial application of pesticide and fertiser.
