Tender Description
Wellington Water Limited (WWL) invites tenders for the construction of a wastewater pump station, new wastewater rising main and new wastewater gravity main in the Wellington CBD.
The work in the contract comprises the supply of plant, labour, dewatering and materials for the construction of a new below ground pump station structure, mechanical fit out (excluding pumps), new rising main, new gravity mains, associated pipework and connections / cut ins.
The general scope of work is described below:
a) Supply, construction and installation of a 5.2 m wide x 7.8 m long x 6.1 m deep concrete chamber, all dimensions external but omit the base flange where detailed, refer to drawing 51-34609-C210 for details. The chamber may also be 6.5 m internal diameter, refer to drawing 51-34609-C301 for details. Construction methodology as agreed with the Principal, which may be cast-in-situ or a caisson.
b) Supply and installation of internal and external pipework associated with pump station, including inlet / outlet connections
c) Supply and installation of approximately 5 m of 400 OD PE100 SDR 17 gravity sewer main by open trenching
d) Supply and installation of approximately 34 m of 315 OD PE100 SDR 17 gravity sewer main by open trenching
e) Supply and installation of approximately 20 m of 250 OD PE100 SDR 17 gravity sewer main by open trenching
f) Supply and installation of approximately 164 m of 250 OD PE100 SDR 11 pressure sewer main by open trenching
g) Consultation with all affected parties (including but not limited to the Road Controlling Authority (RCA), Residents, and Business owners) to obtain necessary reinstatement requirements/consents/approvals prior to proceeding with the works implementation
Note, GHD/WWL have approvals for contaminated soil works and dewatering at the site.
