Council is seeking the services of a suitably qualified and experienced consultancy to prepare a Eurobodalla Flying-fox Management Plan (the Plan) using the NSW OEH Flying-fox Camp Management Plan Template.

The Plan will assist Council to manage the impacts of flying-foxes on people while conserving threatened Grey-headed Flying-foxes (GHFF) and their habitats in the Eurobodalla Shire. Council is seeking a consultancy with expertise and experience in community and stakeholder engagement as it critical to the Plan's success and future implementation.

The successful firm will be required to develop and implement an effective community and stakeholder engagement strategy in accordance with Council's endorsed Community Engagement Framework, Charter and Planning Tool. It is expected that while community and stakeholder engagement is the key skill being sourced to develop the Plan, the successful consultant will engage a suitably qualified and experienced ecologist to assist with developing the Plan.

The Plan will include a flying-fox management decision making tool that will assist Council to consistently manage the impacts of flying-foxes on people in the Eurobodalla in a cost-effective way and clearly communicates to residents the process of the decision-making. The Plan will identify when specific management options should be considered based on changing circumstances.
