Tender Description

North Sydney Council is preparing a Public Domain Strategy for the North Sydney CBD. The Strategy will establish a vision for the centre's public domain, identify a suite of short to long term projects on both private and public land and put in place a business plan for delivery. The PDS will deliver a high quality public domain befitting a globally-oriented CBD. It will ensure that CBD growth and the Victoria Cross Metro station are complimented by a public domain that improves the safety, amenity, vibrancy and overall appeal of the centre for workers, residents, students, visitors and investors.

The PDS is being undertaken in two stages. Stage 1 is an ideas phase that examines the potential of the North Sydney CBD public domain. It will be an ideas-based exercise that delivers:

* An understanding of the community's needs, ideas & aspirations for the centre.
* An understanding of the issues facing North Sydney's public domain.
* Recommendations to better align the existing policy framework that applies to the centre.
* A public domain masterplan for the CBD.
* Proposals for short-medium term projects that address known issues and mitigate the impacts of construction activity over the next 5+ years.
* Proposals for longer term, place-specific projects and visionary, high-intervention opportunities.

You are invited to submit a fee proposal to undertake Stage 1 of this initiative. Tender documents may be downloaded for free on Tenderlink. Alternatively, physical copies of the tender documents may be purchased from Council's customer service for a non-refundable fee of $300.00.

A pre-tender meeting will be held at: North Sydney Council Chambers on Tuesday 24 October 2017 commencing at 2:00PM in the Supper Room.

Expressions of Interest will be sought from TUESDAY 17 OCTOBER 2017 until 4:00PM, WEDNESDAY 15 NOVEMBER 2017. For more information please contact Emma Booth of Council's Strategic Planning section on Tenderlink's online forum.
