GA is seeking a partner to supply and configure a software asset management (SAM) system and then operate the system as-a-service on behalf of GA.

Geoscience Australia (GA) has a requirement for a Software Asset and License Management solution to facilitate automated software deployment and end-to-end management of software licenses delivered as Software Asset Management as a Service (SAMaaS).

GA is looking to engage a vendor to take over the following:

* supply the SAM tool, in order to manage software assets together to free staff to focus on more strategic activities.

GA would highly regard a solution that also manages hardware assets

* configuration of the tool, in order to provide robust asset tracking reporting as part of managing software assets to provide insight for effective decision-making; and

* day-to-day running of the tool, in order to provide business hours access to the status of licenses and automatic notifications when expirations draw close and licence numbers are close to being exceeded.

GA requires an instance of ServiceNow as the application to support the SAMaaS
