Request for Registration of Interest For: South West Alcohol and Other Drug Residential Rehabilitation and Treatment Service(s)

⁠⁠⁠The Mental Health Commission (MHC) is undertaking a Registration of Interest (ROI) process to assist with the planning and development of alcohol and other drug (AOD) residential rehabilitation and to gauge the level of interest within the AOD sector for the provision of a service or services in the South West of Western Australia.

The MHC is seeking to expand residential services in the South West and this may include low medical withdrawal and/or residential rehabilitation beds in separate or co-located sites. The MHC is also interested in proposals that could target specific populations such as: youth; Aboriginal people; people with co-occurring mental health and AOD problems; people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds; and people who identify themselves as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and/or intersex (LGBTI).

The South West Service(s) will comprise of low medical withdrawal, residential rehabilitation services, or a combination of both. Registrations of Interest are sought from suitable provider/s to provide up to 36 beds within the South West region and in accordance with evidence based need.

Respondents are encouraged to consider opportunities for co-designed, innovative and cost effective models of service delivery including co-location of services and other opportunities to remove known barriers to engagement and retention in treatment. A range of facilities offering various models and bed numbers are encouraged.

The MHC may contact one or more of the organisations that lodge a Registration Form (‘the Respondents’) in the future to discuss the service or the MHC’s plans or needs generally. The MHC may take the Respondents’ views and feedback into account when developing any future Request for Offers relating to this service. However, lodgement of a Registration Form will not guarantee that the MHC will consult with your organisation, and will not result in any kind of short-listing for a procurement process.
