Pilbara Minerals is currently developing its 100% owned Pilgangoora Lithium-Tantalum deposit located south of Port Hedland in WA’s Pilbara region.
The purpose of this brief is to outline the Scope of Work for design and construction of the “Southern Borefield Pipeline and pumping package” located at the Pilgangoora mine site approx. 105km south from Pt. Hedland. (refer Figure 1 and 2).
The Contractor must design and construct the Southern Borefield pipeline and pumping system consisting of the primary and secondary raw water pipelines and pumps, telemetry radio control and earthworks construction.
The Works consists of all necessary activities including, but not limited to the following:
* Detailed engineering and design of the pipeline, control system and earthworks;
* Mobilisation, site establishment and demobilisation;
* Selection, supply and installation of three pump equipment hire packages;
* Supply and installation of approx. 18km pipe, fiBngs and pipe manifold;
* Supply and installation of a telemetry radio control system;
* Earthworks construction of approx. 8km access track and approx.16.5km pipeline trenching;
* Supply of all plant, labour, materials, equipment, civil, electrical Works;
* Complete system testing, commissioning and handover.
The Company has a requirement that all Works must comply with Safety, Environmental and Heritage requirements. All Works must be performed in accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1984 (WA).
