The NSW Department of Industry (DoI) - Crown Lands and Water invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) from parties interested in making use, for any lawful purpose, of Crown land currently occupied by Katoomba Airfield at 178-180 Grand Canyon Road, Medlow Bath, NSW, 2780.

The Department proposes to offer tenure to the property by lease or licence. The invitation to participate in this EOI is extended to all individuals and organisations with a bona fide interest in making use of the subject Crown land, regardless of whether this includes maintenance and operation of the existing Airfield.

In general terms, DoI - Crown Lands and Water encourages development and use of the site for lawful business purposes. However, the present Call for Expressions of Interest is not restricted to commercial business operators.

The preferred form of tenure will be determined having regard to proposals received. Depending on the nature of such proposals, DoI - Crown Lands and Water may offer a lease or licence to a single preferred Tenderer. Alternatively, where circumstances support multiple usage and occupation of the site, the Department may offer licences to several Proponents.

The successful Proponent/s will be required to procure development consent and any associated regulatory approvals to permit the intended use/s of the land. This Call Document sets out the terms and conditions for the submission of EOIs.
