Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠1718-010 - The purpose of the is to provide a robust and resilient coastal protection asset that provides enhanced environmental benefits and scientific research potential through design innovation while still achieving favourable whole of life costs.

The entire project is split up into three stages, being:
* Stage 1 - Scheu Park to Worth Park, for the protection of five properties and landward Council assets
* Stage 2 - Worth Park to George Street, for the protection of 15 properties and landward Council assets
* Stage 3 - George Street to Ruby Street, for the protection of the esplanade

At this stage in the short term, Council is only expecting to construct Stage 1. However, it is requested that Tenderers price stages two and three. Council may use this price information for the procurement of the later stages.

In summary, the overall works involve the construction of a new rock revetment over the existing rock revetment. The finished construction will have lower visual impact due to the vegetated crest to be installed. The main construction processes are:
* Reworking of the existing revetment material to achieve a slope of 1V:2H or flatter
* Installation of filter rock layer
* Installation of armour rock
* Installation of fish-friendly features at the toe
* Construction of an extended tow at the southern end of the structure
* Vegetation of the crest

Further, the project scope is inclusive of and not limited to;
* Project management
* Procurement and supply of materials
* Transport of Principal supplied materials
* Management of sub-contractors
* Provision of documentation
* Management of safety, quality and environmental performance
* Disposal of redundant materials
