Roadside Slashing Program

⁠⁠⁠Mount Barker District Council undertakes an Annual Fuel Reduction Program as part of its obligations under the Adelaide Mount Lofty Rangers Bushfire Management Committee (AMLR BMC) Interim Bushfire Management Plan. (BMP)

Council is seeking to engage the services of a suitably qualified contractor to carry out annual Roadside Slashing– as part of the BMP on all rural roads, DPTI Roads, Road reserves, and Fire tracks, Throughout the District.

Mount Barker Council comprises approximately.
* 1212.1 Km of Rural Roads, Sealed and Unsealed.
* 191.2 Km of DPTI Roads

Scope of Works
This Specification covers the Slashing of Annual, Perennial weeds and Grasses along Rural Road verges, Roadside Reserves and Fire Tracks within the Mount Barker Council District. In accordance with. Adelaide Mount Lofty Bushfire committee - interim Bushfire Management Area Plan (BMAP).
