Tender Description
The Shire of Halls Creek (SOHC) is seeking a sole or panel of Tenderers to provide hosted cloud services, sufficient telecommunications to support the hosted servers, and managed services covering the entire Shire’s IT needs. A full statement of the Services required under the proposed Contract appears in the Specification defined in Part 2 of this document.
The purpose of this RFT is to:
* Minimise the risk posed by natural hazards to the storage and retrieval of electronic information
* Improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Shire’s IT network
* Improve the quality of IT services through access to non-contended internet bandwidth and other means
The Scope of Works and Specification in Section 2.0 set out the required levels of service and technology to be provided by the successful tenderer. This should not preclude offers from suppliers utilising alternative technology if the Tenderer believes that the technology is readily available, it will meet or exceed the minimum specification and its use will maximise value for the Principal. However, in doing so, the pricing must include all associated costs including upgrades to hardware and devices, software costs, installation costs, licenses, monthly connection costs, user charges, project management costs, travel and accommodation.
The quantity of services required is set out in the Specification. While this is expected to be relatively stable over the envisaged two plus two year period of the contract (with provision for a 1 year extension), there may be some variation with changes in business needs and fluctuations in staff levels. For this reason, the contract and pricing must make provision for additional services.
