The following services are required under this contract:
* Removal and relocation of employee household effects within NSW.
* Where required: short term storage of employee household effects
The requirement for the Department of Justice to have a Whole of Government (WoG) contract for the provision of Removalist and ad hoc storage services is essential in ensuring NSW departments and agencies operate through the relocation of staff members in a timely and effective manner.
The provision of Removalist services has been an ongoing requirement for NSW State Government agencies in order to effectively and efficiently relocate employees within NSW. The current agreement (Contract 409) is due to expire on the 31st of October 2017. Contract 409 assists with the relocation of an estimated 1000 households annually for a variety of customers such as NSW Police Force, NSW Ambulance, and NSW Department of Education. Other NSW Government Agencies may also utilise this contract for the relocation of its employees.
The current agreement operates under a Managed Service Provider (MSP) model which ensures competitiveness and engagement of a wide range of SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises). The Department of Justice is seeking to engage one supplier to manage the provision of Removalist Services throughout NSW. The Department will consider an MSP model or a model that provides all requirements related to the Services.
