Tender Description
Council is seeking tenders from suitably qualified and experienced Tenderers for construction of footpath in two Separable Portions in T01-18.
SP1 - Footpath Reconstruction at Olympic Parade, Bankstown - from Olympic Pde to HNo. 278 Chapel Road
SP2 – Footpath reconstruction at Chapel Rd and Kitchener Pde between Marion St and Cole Lane, Bankstown
Scope of works generally includes demolition and reconstruction of kerb and gutter, concrete footpath, kerb ramps, construction of granite paving on mortar bed and fibre reinforced concrete FRC, street furniture, carborundum coating on asphaltic concrete, streetscape upgrade, minor stormwater drainage, road resurfacing, signage and linemarking. A full description of the nature and extent of the services required by Council are set out in Section 3 of the attached Request.
Olympic Parade is a main thoroughfare in the Bankstown CBD as well as Chapel Road South Which are busy streets area with shops, high traffic and pedestrian flows. Parking on both streets will be affected by the construction works and the work methodology and traffic management plan must make allowance for pedestrian access and egress at all times.
Some of the works are to be undertaken outside normal business hours and will be subject to obtaining a Road Occupancy License (ROL) from Roads and Maritime Services (RMS).
