Australian Catholic University (ACU) was established in 1990 through incorporation as a public company limited by guarantee, incorporated pursuant to the Corporations Act. ACU is a public university, funded by the Commonwealth Government, and is open to students and staff of all religious beliefs.
ACU has seven (7) research institutes and four (4) faculties: Education and Arts, Health Sciences, Law and Business and Theology and Philosophy.
The Away From Base Program is an initiative which provides funding to enable students from remote and country Australia to attend learning opportunities at major educational centres.
In accordance with the requirements of this funding arrangement, ACU is inviting providers to submit a quotation for accommodation to meet the needs of students attending the Yalbalinga (Place of Learning) Indigenous Higher Education Unit at ACU’s Strathfield Campus.
Four (4) residential periods are planned for 2018. These are:
* 15 February – 23 February inclusive – 9 nights
* 11 May – 18 May inclusive – 8 nights
* 19 July – 27 July inclusive – 9 nights.
* 21 September – 28 September inclusive – 8 nights.
Each residential period will be for approximately 115 students. In some cases student numbers cannot be finalised until just prior to the planned dates.
