Finance is seeking to provide an update to industry on a Parliamentary Expenses Management System.

In support of this, Finance will host an Industry Briefing on Friday 7 July 2017.

In late 2015, the Government decided that improvements to the entitlements system were required to better support parliamentarians and meet public expectations. In February 2016, an Independent Parliamentary Entitlements System Review made 36 recommendations aimed at simplifying the parliamentary work expenses framework. In March 2016, the Minister for Finance announced support for all of the Review’s recommendations in principle.

This Industry briefing relates to Recommendation 30: Information technology - integrated digital system.

Finance, will be seeking industry input to assist its Ministerial and Parliamentary Services (M&PS) team and the Independent Parliamentary Expenses Authority (IPEA) in administering and delivering work expenses.

The breadth and complexities of the core capabilities range from a client web portal, to work expense processing and COMCAR fleet and reservation management. See Attachment.
