LG314/254/17/098 - Visitor Information Centre Pods
The Principal is seeking submissions from suitably experienced and resourced contractors to supply and convert shipping containers into three Visitor Information Centre Pods (Pods) for GC2018. Hosted by GC2018 volunteers, Gold Coast Tourism and City of Gold Coast staff, the Pods will provide an exciting and innovative platform for visitors to gain information about the Gold Coast and GC2018 via face-to-face interactions and digital screens.
A Schematic Design Report (Attachment A) has been prepared which outlines the required design features to be incorporated in each converted shipping container to ensure the Pods are:
* Relevant for the provision of tourist information services
* Easily recognisable to visitors
* Interactive
* Robust and durable
* Accessible for all abilities
* Uniquely Gold Coast
* Re-locatable and re-usable for legacy purposes.
One Pod will be located in each of the following key entertainment precincts during GC2018:
* Pod 1: Southport - Little Lawn, Broadwater Parklands
* Pod 2: Broadbeach - Victoria Park
* Pod 3: Coolangatta - Queen Elizabeth Park, beachside adjacent to Warner Avenue.
