This Request for Offer has been prepared for the purpose of engaging a suitably qualified and experienced provider to Design and Construct Tumbulgum Road Murwillumbah. Segment 2, 190m from Old Ferry Road to Sunnyside Lane. Survey, Design and Environmental Approval required for pavement rehabilitation work. Keep existing kerb, footpath and retaining wall to top side bank if possible. Widen road towards river to gain as much extra width as possible.

Remove existing timber boardwalk and replace with new 1.2m footpath (not cycleway). Will probably need a cantilevered concrete footpath with possible jersey kerb for counter balance? Overhead power will limit ability for driven piles and underground services will restrict footings for bottom side retaining wall. Water unit has plans for another trunk water main through this road corridor so road design needs to include this. Detailed service investigation will be required.
