Hotmix Road Resealing 2017-2018

⁠⁠⁠TE: 2017.015 - The Scope of Work associated with such services includes but is not limited to notification of residents, profile or removal of existing wearing course, rubble or deeplift as asphalt patching (if required),supply and placement of new AC10 wearing course.

At a minimum, the contractor will be required to;
* Undertake a detailed site walkover with Council representative to clarify and mark the extents of work, and any areas requiring patching:

* Notify residents of impending works, (refer to clause SC5);

* Profile existing wearing course over the nominated (if required), with all surplus material to be removed from site;

* Undertake any deep patching that may have been identified during the initial site walkover, or during profiling as directed by the Superintendent.

* Adjust all service lids and topstones to suit new top pavements, prior to reseal, but no more than 48 hours prior to placement of Hotmix reseal;

* Pick up all existing linemarking and reinstate within 48 hours of Hotmix completion (note that some in-house linemarking changes may be made by Council Staff - This will be handed over to the Contractor);

* Supply and lay new asphalt wearing course including light tack coat;

* Be totally responsible for site traffic management including obtaining any permits and undertaking notifications (e.g. Public Transport Board) as required. Any interim controls required to divert/manage traffic/storm water or other. Provide copies of all Traffic Management Plans to Council Staff to review prior to works occurring.

* The Contractor shall undertake all sampling and testing in accordance with this specification.

* All works are to be undertaken in Accordance with EMS (refer to SC11);

* Based on the constraints of the site (levels, drainage, topstones etc.), Council may instruct the Contractor to undertake one of the following Pavement Surface Remediation treatments:
 * Full width asphalt overlay
 * Edge profile and full width overlay
 * Full width profile and reinstatement
