The Queensland Government is seeking Proposals for Motor Overhaul works at Barcaldine Power Station.

This scope of works shall be to inspect, refurbish, test and provide engineering report on 14 (fourteen) 3-phase induction motors ranging in size from 3kW to 30kW, with a 7-day turnaround.

The inspection and test component shall assess the condition of each motor and reveal any defects along with identifying any units that may be reaching the end of their operational life, while the refurbishment component shall include external and internal cleaning, external painting and replacement of bearings in each motor.

Finally a report should be prepared for each motor with details of work done, test results and condition assessment. With all this complete the contractor shall prepare the motors in suitable packaging for transport back to Barcaldine Power Station within 7 days of initially receiving the motors.
