Barcaldine Power Station Crane Hire Supporting Works

⁠⁠⁠The Queensland Government is seeking Proposals for Crane Hire support during maintenance work at Barcaldine Power Station.

The scope of works shall be to provide a Hydraulic all terrain pick and carry crane (Franna) with 25 tonne maximum rated capacity for 3 weeks during the shut at Barcaldine.

The scope also requires the contractor to provide a crane operator and rigger, both trained and qualified for up to two 3-day visits to site.

The cranes role is to provide 4 main lifting operations required for the generator rotor and gearbox disassembly / refitting along with numerous smaller lifts required during the shut period.
