Sale of Second Hand Timber from Cairns Esplanade Deck Replacement

Cairns Regional Council will be replacing the existing timber decking / boardwalk at Cairns Esplanade as part of a capital works upgrade, and is offering the used (second hand) timber to be purchased. The second hand timber has no further operating value to Council.

The timber species is predominately Spotted Gum and consists of approximately:
* 15,000 lineal metres of 190mm x 45mm second hand hardwood decking boards
* 130 each of 3m x 300mm x 300mm boxed heart sections

The surplus assets offered for sale are used assets, and as such, is offered on an "as is" condition. The Purchaser is to make their own evaluation of the condition and suitability for reuse and must accept the assets in whatever condition the timber presently exists in, including any damages or faults, whether or not immediately apparent.
