Tender Description
The general scope of the works shall include but not be limited to the supply of labour and materials, services and equipment necessary for the construction and fit-out of Stage 2 offices and training rooms for SES Nanango located at Corner of Grey and Chester Street Nanango generally as per the following drawings and specification. Any discrepancy, error or omission should be reported to Council’s Authorised Officer.
a) Kingaroy Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Services DRG No. 1635-MS-01 Sheet 1 Rev A;
b) The Soil Testers Project No. 2K170777 Sheets 1-6 Issue A;
c) Enviro Water Design Job No. EWD1438 Sheets 1-6;
d) Malar Design Job No. 053SBR-1 Sheet 1-21.
In addition to specifications on the nominated drawings, it will also be necessary to relocate the radio system from the existing SES building located at George Street Nanango. This work will require electrical hard wiring not shown on the plans.
All work shall be executed in a workmanlike manner and shall comply with the Building Act 1975, Plumbing and Drainage Act 2002, Electrical Safety Act 2002 and all relevant Australian Standards. During the execution of work, the contractor shall be responsible for complying with other applicable legislation including the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 and Environmental Protection Act 1994. In an emergency, SES has authority to take full control of the site as required under the Disaster Management Act 2003.
The contractor will be responsible for site establishment and temporary provisions including site office, barrier fencing and amenities. Waste storage, collection and disposal including costs will also be the responsibility of the Contractor.
Council can make electrical power and water available from the existing building however the contractor shall satisfy themselves with regard to suitability and if not suitable; the Contractor will be responsible for their own temporary electrical and water services.
The Contractor is required to ensure that the site including existing building and compounds are secure before vacating the site each day.Upon completion of the project, the Contractor is to ensure that the site is left clean and tidy and any damage rectified.
It is important to note that the subject site and existing building is operational in terms of SES operations. SES may be activated to respond to any emergency upon a moment’s notice. The Contractor must ensure that SES personnel can access the subject building and operate from that site at all times.
