The Waratah-Wynyard & Circular HeadCouncils are seeking the services of a suitably qualified consultant to undertake the development of Central Area Development Strategies for Wynyard, Somerset, Smithton and Stanley.

The project will provide a long-term strategy and comprehensive master planning and design framework to guide the sustainable development of the central areas to inform a coordinated approach for planning and investment over a 25 year period. The project will include:
* A market assessments of forecast demands for housing, retail, commercial and hospitality floor space requirements;
* Assessment of the suitability of current zoning to meet the forecast needs;
* Assessment of site development opportunities, including the potential re-development options for key public and private sites;
* Assessment of infrastructure needs of the central areas taking into account future pedestrian and cycle access needs, wayfinding signage needs, public transport requirements, vehicular circulation, service access and car parking requirements;
* Integration with existing strategies and plans;
* Preparation of an implementation framework and investment strategy for the effective, timely and practical implementation of the Strategies.

Submissions shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope addressed to the "Tender Box", Waratah-Wynyard Council, 21 Saunders Street (P O Box 168), Wynyard, and the front of the envelope clearly marked “Tender- Waratah-Wynyard & Circular Head Central Area Development Strategies Project” or by email to council@warwyn.tas.gov.au and will be accepted provided they are received at the place of lodgement before the closing time and date of tenders.

The Tender closes at 5.00pm on Friday 2 June 2017.
