Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and capable service provider for the project Avocado industry biosecurity capacity building (AV16010).
The objectives of the services being sought are to help Hort Innovation and the avocado industry to:
* To minimise the effect of high biosecurity risks on Australian avocado production through the creation of biosecurity resources, information, awareness raising and capacity
* Preparation of extension and communication materials and involvement in industry extension and communication activities as required.
The intended primary outcomes are:
* R&D and extension has contributed towards improved productivity (as measured by marketable yield per hectare) by 15 per cent on average, without increased production costs per kilogram by 2021.
