Gawler Rail Electrification Project

⁠⁠⁠The electrification of the Gawler rail line is the next stage of the electrification program for the Adelaide Metropolitan Passenger Rail Network (AMPRN), following the completion of electrification of the Seaford Line. This stage of the program will deliver an electrified service between Adelaide Railway Station and Salisbury Railway Station within a three-year timeframe.

The Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) invites companies/consortia (comprising major construction contractors and senior design consultancies experienced in the design and construction of railway electrification infrastructure) to register their interest to tender for the delivery of the Gawler Rail Electrification Project.

DPTI advises prospective registrants of its intention to call two Contracts:
* A select tender for the provision of railway signalling technology to support the electrification works; and
* The design and construction of railway electrification infrastructure for the Gawler rail line of the AMPRN.

This Registration of Interest (RoI) applies to the second Contract identified above and registration is mandatory for participation in the tender phase of this Contract.

As DPTI will be undertaking a separate procurement for the provision of railway signalling technology to support the electrification works, companies/consortia responding to this RoI will not be required to include capability to supply railway signalling technology.

Companies/consortia seeking to respond to this RoI will be required to nominate a primary and a secondary contact person who shall receive notifications from DPTI. Furthermore, to meet minimum requirements for registration, companies/consortia must provide a company website hyperlink that highlights relevant experience in the design and construction of a project involving at least 10km of railway corridor electrification works on an operating railway line.

Please Note: Registrations will be taken through the GREP1@tbupload.com email address only, please DO NOT submit your registration electronically through the SA Tenders & Contracts website portal.

Registration will close at 5:00 PM (Adelaide time) on Thursday, 25 May 2017.

Registered companies/consortia will be required to execute a Deed of Confidentiality and submit to GREP1@tbupload.com. Upon receipt of an acceptable Deed of Confidentiality, companies/consortia will be enrolled to receive further information via the Information Management System, TeamBinder, including notification of time and date of briefing to be held at the DPTI office, located at 77 Grenfell Street, Adelaide.
