2017_06 - The Department has approximately 130 staff and undertakes audits of public authorities. The Department is seeking to revise the existing WHS arrangements and reset its approach to managing WHS risks, the governance structure overseeing WHS and the training provided to staff.
The Department is seeking to partner with an organisation with WHS expertise for two years to:
* Perform a risk assessment to inform and focus the Department's WHS activities
* Reset the Department's WHS-related policies and procedures in a contemporary and risk-based context
* Revise the Departments' WHS-related training for staff, with a focus on flexible delivery (including online) and recording of compliance
* Establish revised WHS governance and reporting arrangements to help the Department's Executive Management Group with ongoing compliance.
